NEW YEARS WEEKEND AT THE LODGE

We spent a great New Years Weekend in the mountains with friends this year. The girls learned how to shoot several different types of guns and the kids enjoyed many mule rides and building the fire pit for our evening smores roast. What a great weekend to start off 2012! Thanks for coming everyone.

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Hayes! Although Hayes still cannot eat food, he did love smashing his cake and licking the icing off his fingers. I love you baby and cannot believe you are one!

Hayes' birthday fell the day before Thanksgiving this year and we all headed to the mountains. While the men fried 3 turkeys, Mima let Owen lay on her (one of 10 dogs staying at the house for the holiday!)

Of course we spent time by the ponds fishing, playing bow and arrow and just hanging out.

Ham enjoyed his first apple! He found it on his own and went to town. He finished the whole thing!

After Thanksgiving it is time to get the tree. Ryder found his favorite ornament, the pink pig ornament.

Disney World

For Ryder's fourth birthday we went to Diney World. First time on a plane and he did great. Loved it actually.

As soon as we arrived, we headed to Hollywood Studios to see the Osborne Family Lights and the Fantasmic Show. It may have been a little much for our first evening there but well worth seeing the lights.

Saturday morning we put on our mickey ears and headed straight to Magic Kingdom.

First stop, picture with Mickey- Ryder was beside himself excited.

After breakfast and a few rides, we walked right into the Mickey Dance Party and guess who we got to dance with?

The Incredibles!

Time for a little lunch and swimming back at the hotel.

After some down time we headed back to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks but look what happened...

Ryder slept the whole time so Scotty and I enjoyed a date night in the park.

Bright and early Sunday Morning we head over to Animal Kingdom for breakfast with Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Pluto.

Next was the Safari with many animals we have neer seen before. It was a little bumpy and very cool.

The Lion King show is a must do. There was tumbling, jokes and singing.

We got our picture with Pumba and Simba.

As we walk out of The Lion King Show, we found Pooh,

Eyeore,

& Tigger!

After that we ran right into Christmas Pluto and Goofy.

While we waited for the chirstmas parade to start we did a few rides. The Laugh Floor with Monsters Inc.,

and the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Before we could leave Disney World we had to see Tinkerbell and we got to see her trusty friend too.

He was so nervous to see Tinkerbell he could barely stand next to her.

Treat or Treating at Atlantic Station was far more fun than I has anticipated. We got on our costume and headed to the main park to find all of the activities were over but treat or treating in the stores was about to begin so we boarded our usual train ride with Dave the conductor. After that is was time, get your bucket and follow the map around atlantic station for treats of all sorts. They has candy, coloring books, hula hoops, funny hats and more. This is a must do again next year!

Halloween night was spent with the Glasers(aka Ferdinand the Bull, Courage's (aka Clifford) , Jones's(aka batman and the sun) and us (aka wolverine and skelton)

Some of us had a few bad moments but overall - what a great night!

Fall Fun

No fall is complete without hitting the pumpkin patch. We found a great new place at Lake Rabun and the kids loved it.

As soon as we got home, we got straight to carving. Two days later - they rotted so we started all over. found some pretty good pumpkins at Whole foods and decided not to carve these.

While we waited for Halloween to arrive we celebrated Hamilton's first birthday at the playground. Look at what a big boy he is now!

And guess who showed up to celebrate? The Greene's. We all missed Emma, Jordan, Jill and Jason and loved spending the weekend with him.

Hayes also had his first time in the swing! He was not real sure about it but we got some laughs from him.

He has also been gathering lots of new things. These are his new Theratogs. They will help him learn to sit up, stand and more.

He got a bean bag too, which seems to be his calming place. All the kids are enjoying it too.

And last but not least for now - Scotty finally built him "the little room" a place for visually impaired kids to play and learn to roll over and to reach for things.

While Hayes is getting all sorts of new things, Ryder is having a blast getting out of the house. First stop, The Pink Pig preview party. Ryder still loves Priscilla as much as he did last year. Next, off to the Botanical Gardens with Mima.

He got a spider painted on his hand and got to hold hands with Oscar.

Pretty good start to the fall.

New adventures

Ryder had his first T-ball game and well lets just say he needs some work. It's no secret that he is not the most patient child and all of the standing around makes him a little cranky. He is having a blast and getting better at catching the ball and working hard at hitting the ball. We will see how the rest of the season goes.

Lake Rabun with the Shaw's is always a highlight of the summer.

When we are not laying around on the porch or swimming in the lake, we play on the dock,

feed the ducks,

play peek -a- boo with the floats. Where did Ryder go?

Oh there he is!

or play on the water mat. Ryder enjoyed Hayes' new water mat more than anyone.

Thanks Shaw's for another great Shaw Shack adventure and Ryder's first outdoor shower experience.

Before heading to Rabun we spent a few days at the Lodge. We fished but only caught

a catfish - yuck.

And of course we had to fill up at Osage Vegetable stand for the worls best corn but when you have to go, you have to go.

What kid? I don't see a kid peeing behind me beside the vegetable stand for all the world to see.

While Ryder spent the summer collecting all 16 of the smurfs, Hayes

decided to take one more extended stay in Scottish Rite hospital before summer ends. Look how peacefully he sleep when being catered to by sweet hospital staff.

But he is feeling much better now and getting busy with therpy.

We also spent some quality time in the pool as a family now that Hayes has new sunglasses he can spend some time outside.

Can't wait for the fall fairs, pumpkin patches, trick or treating and two birthdays....can't wait!

This summer Ryder has learned what his chores are, (Its never too early to have your kids doing yard work, is it?)

Hayes got a helmet which he seems to be a pretty laid back about.

and while Hayes had an extended stay at Scottish Rite for the 4th of July it did not stop us from taking Ryder to see the fireworks.

Like any big brother Ryder insisted on tucking Hayes in, giving him a good night kiss and telling him all about the fireworks before heading home.

We started the summer by saying goodbye to The Greene's as they moved on to Evensville. We already miss them so much.

Heading to the Park on Easter for picture day with the Family before the Greene's move on to Evansville. Got everything we need. A Picnic lunch, a wagon, a ball, a butterfly net and a bubble gun. We are set!

now if we can just get Ryder to smile.

Everyone was so happy to be together on such a beautiful easter day and everyone looked so good.

Big Papa kept the kids busy with sketching in his notebook while the rest of us passed around the babies.

and hayes slept on anyone that would hold him.

There is so much to do in the mountains. Of course we had to start off a beautiful Saturday at the petting zoo at the Dillard house.

We saw horses, roosters, a bull, sheep and more.

next it was time for a picnic at the Nickajack Shack on top of the property. Beer anyone?

Marching in the leaves? Gathering sticks?

A perfect lunch with an amazing view.

We have so much to be thankful for this holiday season. First, the chance to spend Christmas Eve with all my boys and read The Night Before Christmas with two sons in my arms.

Second, the chance to watch Ryder meet his baby brother for the first time. (He fell in love right away)

Spending our last night in the NICU before Christmas is here.

And of course to watch all the joys that Christmas brings to a three year old. Singing by the tree,

decorating ginger bread trains

while daddy and baby sleep.

Having "secret santa" with all of our animals

and of course The Pink Pig. We will miss you Priscilla and the almost daily rides throughout the holiday season.

The annual christmas parade downtown is a family tradition. My family has been going for as long as I can remember and this year Ryder loved it even more. We saw Elmo, Shrek, Donkey, The Pink Pig and Santa!

Then it was time to get the tree. Ryder helped bring the tree in, put the ornaments on, and

he got to put the star on the tree!

Its that time of year again, Pink Pig time!!! Ryder has been counting down the days so we decided to suprise him and take him to the opening night of the pink pig! Free rides, cupckes, face painting and balloon animals! What else could a 3 year old ask for?

Total amazement at how they can create a pig hat out of a balloon.

Pure happiness when they put it on your head.

Meet Hamilton Keats White

He looks just like his mommy and is perfect.

As we all anxiously awaite the arrival of baby White #2 we had one last full family brunch for Carrie's birthday before we have two more infants in the mix. We ate in Smyrna right next to the Dobbins Air Show which is a must see next year.

After filling our bellies we played outside, took many family pictures and let the kids run wild in the fountain while we watched some of the air show. What beautiful weather for a family get together.

We hope to meet baby White any day now!

Fall is here!

Getting ready for Halloween and enjoying the fall weather. First step decorate.

Second, fall festivals are a must. We had our first experience to the Pace Fair this year we will make sure we go every year! Ryder had the best time on the obstacle course. He started out on the zip line,

flew on the rope swing

landed in a sea of balls,

climbed through the tires,

and climbed the rope ladder to finish it off. I think we may need to build one of these at home!

Then the sweet police officer offered to let Ryder help him direct traffic to stop his very public meltdown over a bottle of gatorade.

Chattanooga

For Labor Day weekend we took Ryder to Chattanooga for the day. This was Ryder's first trip to one of my favorite cities and Scotty's home town. Everytime we go, we never want to leave so we made the most of the time we had. Being 7 months pregnant I opted out of the major attractions and we just hang out around town. First stop- rent a Funny Car - this is the best way to spend a summer afternoon. Wish they had them in Atlanta!

We took our funny car over the river to the Chattanooga Choo Choo so Ryder could visit all of the trains (his heaven). Not really the nicest place but plenty of trains to see and climb on.

Then off to get ice cream! "Mommy, I do not see the superman ice cream?"

Chattanooga is the perfect place to walk around. There is so much greenspace that it draws you in.

All along the river you keep coming across fun things to bang on, ride on or climb on. "Who made that noise?"

What is better than sharing a shaved ice by the river?

Off to the Children's Museum! This place was very cool. First stop- splashing.

Then riding in cars for about 45 min, making art, playing music and...

digging for Dino's!

We walked over to the River and missed the ferry by seconds. It was time to head home anyway. We can't wait to head back soon. Bye Bye Chattanooga!

Botanical Gardens

Big Papa took Jill, Jordan, Emma, Ryder and I to the Botanical Gardens last weekend. The renovation is amazing! The kids loved running throughout the place and looking at all of the glass artwork. Big Papa tried to explain to the kids how plants grow, where they come from etc.. maybe when they are a little older they will start to take an interest either way thanks Big Papa for a great Saturday!

Getting in touch with our faminine side

We have found a great new art studio for kids. The little house of Art on Dresden. If your little one likes to paint, color, create you have to try this out. Ryder has been a little artist since he was about six months old and could sit up to paint with his hands so this was a little piece of heaven for him.

After painting, coloring, cutting and glue I had to tear him out of there. What a perfect way to spend a rainy morning.

Time to make meatloaf! Ryder has just grown the interest of helping mommy cook. His favortie part is putting the eggs in the bowl of whatever it is we are making. You could say that some days we just like getting in touch with our faminine side.

Go Fish!

Lets go fishing! Grab your net and see what happens. Gunner and family took Ryder and I out to a trout farm to catch some fish. What a perfect place to build up your confidence as a fisherman!

Sea Island

Thank you to The Jones' for a fabulous beach trip! Ryder's first trip to the ocean was perfect. We are so happy we could share it with the Jones', McCord's and Lacy's.

Although Ryder did not love the sand but he sure enjoyed running in and out of the ocean for the first time. On Friday night the Jeep Train took us out past the beach club to look for seashells.

He HATED looking for seashells because it is muddy - heaven forbid we get our feet dirty! But the Jeep Train is still part of our daily conversation.

Ice cream is always a highlight of a childs day espically if the ice cream store has a train riding around the store!" Everyone look, a train!!!!" "Bye bye Train" "Everyone look, here comes the train again!!" and on and on and on.....

Try getting 5 kids to sit still after eating ice cream.

We loved watching all the fisherman catch "sishy's" off the pier.

Sometimes you just need a little time to hang around the house playing ball..

and just generally climbing on things.

But really the beach is all about swimming- get your noodle and hop in!

or just sit and hang out in the water.

Lake Rabun

Every summer we head up to lake Rabun with the Shaws for a little R & R. We swam, took boat rides, watched others ski and took good long naps. This year Ryder has really got his swimming down. He spent most of the weekend either asking for a boat ride or jumping off the dock.

We had plenty of fun playing before watching the fireworks. We played football- we even have the look down.

We rode daddy like he was a horse,

and we spent a lot of time playing tackle with Emma.

Then we sat down and watched the fireworks. We loved the first few and then got a little scared so we watched the rest of the fireworks from the car. Happy Fourth of July everyone!

Loving the pool

While we spent most of our time in the big boy pool and jumping off the diving board, we had to spend some time with Sophie in the baby pool too. She seems to think she needs to be in her floating raft even in the baby pool.

Watching her, E & Ryder decided they should begin crawling around like Sophie.

We are loving our new cover up - yes go ahead and make fun as Charley said, "it is very European" but it makes leaving the pool quick and easy!

Wow 4 hours in the pool can knock you out! He fell asleep before we got out of the parking lot. Next time I will have someone to take pictures of Ryder jumping off the diving board.

Grandma is here!

Go Braves!

Braves Game 2010 here we come! Thanks to Judd, Carrie, Tripp & soon to be baby Lemming for a great day at the braves game.

After nap, and a little Varisty we headed down to turner field to watch the braves take on the Pirates.

Although he had been before Ryder enjoyed it even more this time and the weather was not too hot which made the pregnant mommies feel much better about going.

We sat in our seats for a few innings until we could not take it anymore....we needed to practice running the bases.

We got in line and waited our turn

Then we ran! Look at the smiles on the faces.

Ryder had to stop at the last base to make sure he landed his jump perfectly.

After about ten times around the bases we still has energy to burn. Chasing each other around the walkways was just as fun as running the bases.

and singing Jingle Bells to the Atlanta skyline was a must on this hot spring day.

We are tuckered out and ready for bedtime. Congratulations to the Braves for another win and thanks again for a great day Lemming family.

Mother's Day at Groton

Almost every year since I was a child we load the family up and head down to Groton for a spring weekend. The past few years we have been lucky enough to have all of the Range family from Atlanta, Athens, and D.C.- What a great weekend!

While it was VERY hot, we did not skip a beat doing all the usual fun activities.

Soccer on the front lawn

Coloring on the porch,

watching the many gators from the dock,

and taking our daily truck rides to see all the animals. This was the first trip that Ryder really "got it". He loved every second of it all - mostly the riding in an open flatbed truck seeing deer, turtles, snakes, birds and sadly we saw no pigs this year.

He also got had his first experience at fishing. Uncle Jason caught 13 fish on Saturday! (note the sunset- bedtime was 10 pm everynight!)

Henry got to ring the dinner bell while Ryder and I took a break to soak up all the beauty.

We always end the trip with a group picture and hate to say goodbye.

But before we hit Atlanta, we had to stop at the Conyers carnival. Henry had never been to a carnival and could not get enough.

First time on the bumper cars too...

Happy Easter! Ready to get some eggs.

On Saturday morning, we headed to our neighborhood easter egg hunt but first we got to play on the playground

and take a picture of all the kids in the neighborhood. I got so many eggs they were falling out of my basket!

That afternoon we headed to the Capital City Easter egg hunt and we could not figure out how it ended so quickly- there were just too many kids.

Of course we had to top it all off with some ice cream, as if we did not have enough sugar today already!

Big Boy Bed!

Last weekend it was time to take down the crib and move into our big boy bed!

Instead of going to Mima's to play Ryder wanted to stay home and help take down the crib. "Daddy - I got this. A drill, no problem"

"Maybe I need a little help with this one"

AH- I am a big boy! All the animals and blankets from the crib moved into the big boy bed to reduce the shock. Going well so far. Sleeping even later actually!

The next day we took advantage of the sun and took Ryder and Henry to PDK. They had so much fun together. I think every time we go, they act like they have never been there.

Had to get some wrestling in for the day.

Ryder decided he was a big boy now and can do the big boy swing "all by self" just like Henry.

They grow up way too fast!

Ryder's bedtime routine

Start by eating dinner.

Then get on your favorite tacky PJ's and start tearing the room to pieces. First put a hat around your neck, get football and a round ball to throw at mommy and daddy when they are not looking.

Next, make sure to scream as loud as you can for no reason. It makes it all the more fun.

Then put your race track and all your cars up on the bed. Make sure you ALL of your cars on the bed too.

Take a pause to watch Tiger & Pooh Christmas b/c Christmas never ends.

Then, back to destroying the bedroom. Give everyone a tissue until the box is empty.

Last, play peak-a-boo behind the crib as long as you can until mommy can catch you to put you to bed!

Nite Nite

Potty Trainning

Peek-a-boo, Welcome to 2010! On New Years day off came the diapers, on came the big boy underwear! Ryder was so excited about his new underwear he spent 20 min deciding which pair to put on. "thomas underwear?, no, Buz underwear? No, woody underwear? no, we wear spiderman underwear!"

Once the big boy underwear went on and we were stuck at home for days on end it was time to rearrange the bedroom and make room for all those christmas presents. Bye, bye changing table, hello new library. Ryder has a bit of an obession with the library at school so we made one at home. A fort/library. Mostly it is where all of the animals and books are sleeping.

By day two, after you have run out of paint, glue, paper, plato and rearranged the room. We thought we would take our very first piggy back ride on mommy. 35lbs on a ten min piggy back ride will really cause you some pain.

By day three, when they really get it and will be totally done with diapers, the throw ups and ear infection set in BIG TIME! Trying to potty train in between throwing up and crying from the ear pain we decided to end the potty training for now. You only have so many towels and waterproof items you can use in weekend.

We are back into pull ups for now and will try again another time. At least we got the house organized!

Fort Gunner

After Christmas The Lims and McCords headed to Fort Gunner for a cold afternoon.

Happy Holidays! We hope everyone had a good holiday this year.
We had a very busy holiday! The pictures are running backwards from Christmas day this time. Ryder getting ready for bed in his new Buz Lightyear PJ's, holding his new spiderman motercycle and snuggling with owen as usual.

A little worn out after opening all his new presents. Santa brought the trampoline and it is not only fun to jump on but to do puzzles on and just lay down for a rest.

Santa had a great idea giving a 2 year old a place to jump as much as he wants! Trampoline to sofa, trampoline to chair, up and down everywhere!

Of course the Cozy Coupe is the winner! Due to the weather the cozy coupe has found a home inside the house. Lets hope the weather gets nice soon so we can move the "new buggy" outside instead of driving it from room to room all day.

Christmas eve, as usual, was too hectic for many pictures. But a typical evening with all the kids always ends up with everyone piled on top of each other. The only way to break up this was to head to the computer and see if santa was getting close. Once Santa hit the Atlantic, it was time to head home. I do not think any of the kids could have been more excited. Also, for those of you who have not discovered www.portablenorthpole.com it is a MUST! This really got each kids so excited htey would not even tell each other what santa said to them.

Just before the Holiday started Scotty got sick. Well if daddy is sick, then Ryder must be sick too. He crawled into bed and said "Mommy, I sick and I just need to lay"! I had to pull the camera out to mark the moment that my child started faking sick so he could lay around too.

Chocolate Party! I melted 20lbs of chocolate and had all the kids over to make chocolate pretzels, chocolate snowmen, chocolate christmas trees....chocolate anything! We had to let them running around the back yard for a few hours after this party.

Annual Christmas Parade

First order of business, pictures. Pictures of the whole family, pictures of all the grandkids, pictures of just the girls, and pictures of the Lims.

While we filled up on doughnuts and hot choclate we got to see all our friends dressed and ready to head to the parade. The all looked amazing and Ryder was scared to death! He only viewed froma far.

We waved as Bunny Kevin and Sully Spivey walked on down Peachtree.

The was the face of a two year old boy for about 2 straight hours! We love the holidays.

It is time to blow the leaves again and Ryder loves to help! Daddy showed him how to use the blower.

Once some of the leaves were in piles, we could not resist throwing them in the air.

Then we needed to try on all of mommy's hats and our new gloves. It is getting cold and we need to have all our gear ready.

We needed a little cuddle time with owen before heading up to Lake Lanier for some viewing of the lights.

Mommy rode in the back seat as we strolled trew the 7 miles of lights. We saw raindeer, chritmas trees, angels, and even a gingerbread house!

after trying on all of mommy's hats, it seemed easier to take the one right off her head and put it on mine.

Well we started the morning off as usual, painting. Henry spent the night so he got to join in the fun too.

Then it was off to the Atlantic Station lighting of the tree. We go there ever single weekend for Ryder to ride the train. It is the best train in town and we get in about 3 rides every time we go!

Today they had a bubble machine. Lots of bubbles of all sizes. Small bubbles, big bubbles and

bubbles shaped like stars and snowflakes.

After picking out our christmas tree it was bath time followed by some polar express!

Another farm visit

Off to another farm with Jess, Justin and Gunner. Ryder was not sure about most of these animals. The sheep was ok as long as mom was right there to protect him.

I had the best weekend and the best part of the day was driving the John Deer!

We started off the morning just laying around.

Then, since Henry spent the night we thought we would cover the playroom floor with paper and have a morning of painting (our morning began at 4:30am!)

Then Henry went off to this t-ball game and we headed south to the Chick-Fil-A family farm fall festival. Ryder jumped onto the first cow he saw and said "Mommy, take a picture!"

Then we hoped on the train that runs all around the property. We saw animals, motorcycles and playhouses!

As it turns out, it was the coldest day all fall and none of us were prepared so we just froze while we played.

Emmerson and I got to feed the goats and pet the pigs.

After a long afternoon, daddy put me on his shoulders and headed for the car.

But first we got to take another hayride.

We topped off the weekend with a little pumpkin shopping. What a great fall weekend. We will have to do this again next year.

This weekend we took the kids to Cagle Dairy. Ryder and Gunner loved feeding the cows and goats, the hayride and mostly just running around the rows of pumpkins.

We had a great weekend in Highlands with friends. Caroline and David, Jessica and Justin and Hank and Kristen all came up and brought the kids. We had so much fun watching four 2 year olds and one 5 year old play together and we got to enjoy some adult time after the kids bedtime. Thanks everyone for coming!

Bathtime with 4 kids was not ideal for the parents. While fun, not sure that intended for 4 kids.

Hank got all the kids laughing with a ball toss on the stairs before bed time.

Plato time! Hanky made snakes, Ryder made plato balls, Ella Kate enjoyed mashing all the colors together and Gunner preferred playing with his truck.

The Shaw Shack

A few weekends ago we headed to lake Rabun for much needed time on the lake with the Shaw's, the Rees' and some neighbors of the Shaws. It was PERFECT weather. Hot and beautiful all day, and in the 50's at night. You could not have asked for a better weekend.

Ryder found a great hat and noodle to carry around all day.

He spent 4 solid hours in the lake climbing up on a raft and then jumping off. The ducks even swan right up to us and pretty much ate bread out of our hands.

Of course we had to get some boat driving in while we were there.

Shaw and Simon (aka. stinky) took time out from grilling to jump in and cool off.

Happy Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July. Ryder's first fireworks at Capital City on Friday night was a great one.

Before we went we had to get daddy clean and shaved so I thought I would help out.

My favorite, Emma. I have taken to tackling her to the ground for some good hugs these days.

As the fireworks went off all i could say was "more, more, more" and "wooo, big balls!"

The next morning we got up for a little breakfast in bed before heading to the lake.

Henry really has this lake thing down, just lay back on a raft and hang out.

I, on the other hand was stuck sitting on a raft rather than laying down. When do I get to be like henry?

Boat ride, I love boat rides! Mom, I think it is a bit windy in this seat, can I go sit with daddy?

Much better! I can see the bubble off the back of the boat and get to snuggle at the same time. Happy Fourth Everyone!

Braves game here we come! only a mere 96 degrees out but it is never to hot to take your son to his first braves game. We had to pull him out of there 3 hours after arriving!

We had a blast! Great seats where Ryder and Trip could climb on the rails, see the game and even wave at the chick-fil-a cow doing the chop. Ryder cheered on the braves on as good as any Atlantan would have, even though we lost. They both ate some true baseball game food and danced to every song that came on.

Thanks so much for a great afternoon Judd, Carrie and Trip. Judd is always there for Ryder's first and we can wait to spend our first beach trip with you guys in just a few weeks!

We had a great easter. Ryder collected 11 eggs at the Capital City easter egg hunt and 9 more at mima's on Sunday. Of course, in between picking up each egg we had to stop and wave at the easter bunny. A little confused why he did not look like Rabbit on Winnie the Pooh, we waved anyway.

Off to the mountains with the fam ...Ryder and Emma can never get enough of each other! Thanks Michelle for your amazing hospitality! We can't wait to go back to Summer Sail.

First trip to PDK playground and we loved every min of it. Jill and Jordan took us for our first trip. Thank you! We will be back to see the planes again soon.

We attempted to go to a local carnival but soon after arriving we discovered that there really wasn't anything Ryder could ride so all we got to do was go round and round. He was pretty upset that he couldn't get on the train.

This week has been a good week. While my new favorite activity is to get in and out of my booster seat all day long, I have also learned to stack my leggo's, put my rings on the cone, and stack my wood blocks without them falling over. I am even off the bottle and staying up later. Being 1 is pretty cool so far.

Last night Su' took us to a traditional Korean first Birthday. It was so nice of everyone to come and dote on Ryder. He loved the attention! Traditionally you get your own table and people bring you fresh fruit and you wear the outfit you see here.

We sang happy Birthday and enjoyed a little cake.

It was much easier to just sit on the table and dig in.

And a little more cake can certainlly be shoved into my mouth.

After the sugar rush, all the great gift opening, the fresh fuit being presented and watching the adults eat more food than you have ever seen, I was exhausted!

For Ryder's first Halloween we headed over to Medowbrook to be with our good friends Bec and Emerson. At first, things went well. I loved to people watch and ride around in Emersons toys but then the night took a turn for the worse. Hope you all enjoyed your Halloween! Hey Em/ Miss Piggy, I stole your ride. Pretty cool!

Baptism/ Bday Party

After being home sick all week we let Ryder start watching cartoons. He loves them!
Happy Baptism day Goose! Time to go get out of that cute outfit and get dressed.
We made it to the church just in time.
After the church we asked a few people to come over to Big Papa's and have some food and some bday cake. We thought we would celebrate our first bday a few weeks early.
Ryder was a bit overwhelmed and did not dive into like expected so Scotty fed it to him.
Suddenly, he started the cry. The sad little, I'm overwhelmed cry. We quickly got over it and enjoyed the rest of the party.
Emerson, Gunner, Henry, Emma, and Jordan all came to play. Emerson really loved the pigs.

After Trip's first birthday party, a quick nap and a big ole bottle we headed over to play with Gunner at the new house. Gunner was so sweet to share his things.
Ryder immediately jumped into the very nice bowl and brought some block with him to play with.
Gunner just looked at him like "are you crazy? That's my bowl!"
I think Gunner ended up being cool with it and let Ryder continue climbing in and out of the bowl.
After our visit with Gunner we headed for the park.
We LOVE the slide! We could do this all day...Down we go
and we go back up to the top
Still loving the swing. I giggle the whole time.
Ok...lets go walk around some before we leave.

Off to Aunt Carrie's for a little pumpkin carving, dinner and of course chalk drawing.

Emma helped Michelle to get hers carved.
Then she discovered the bowl of the pumpkins guts and thought it would be more fun to stir the guts. YUCK!

Today we went to playgroup at Kristen, Hanky and Ella Kate's neighborhood playground. Ryder could not quit giggling while he was flying high in the swing.

We just learned how to blow bubbles and its my favorite thing.
Think I am a bit dizzy and need to get out.
After the swing. Ryder, Gunner, and David made a mad dash for Ryder's walker. I think it was a hit.
Watch out Ryder, David is taking off with your walker! See if you can keep up.
While Emerson played with the large ball, David sat in the swing checking everyone out.
We were sad to have missed the ducks but we had plenty of fun seeing everyone.

Saturday with the Fam

Saturday morning the whole fam got up and headed up to Lake Lanier to cheer on my sister Jill for her Triathlon.
Dad kept busy by holding onto the kids...Emma,
Jordan
and even Ryder sat in his lap while Michelle got to meet him for the first time.
Mom was able to round up all the kids for a picture. Can you tell by the look on Henry's face that he has had way too many doughnuts?! Aunt Carrie even gave Ryder a doughnut! This may be why we are so giggly the rest of the day.
Ryder loved all the people watching right at the finish line but he did have moments of wishing he was out running around like his cousins.
And here comes Jill Greene down the finish line in just under 2 hours!!!! CONGRATULATIONS. She swam 400 meters, biked 15 miles, and ran 5 miles! WOW, I couldn't have done that.
Ryder was a bit restless with the people watching so we thought we would head home for another outing.
We went to the mall for a little shopping and to vote on our Favorite playhouse. They were AMAZING! (Wish I could move into one of these!HA)
Ryder got the giggles when the ladies put a tattoo on his leg. Overall a good day.
